First Collection of ’83’ Box Office Weekend: Ranveer Singh’s Sports Drama Reports Rs 44 crore | Hindi movie news

’83’ pulled off a decent collection at the end of its first week at the box office, but it didn’t hit the 50 crore mark. The film benefited from the Christmas holidays, which significantly increased its activity. According to boxofficeindia.com, ’83’ raised around 45 crore net by the end of its first weekend. The film worked well in the subways but beyond that other centers did not make a major contribution to the collection.

The Gujarat, Mysore and Eastern Punjab tours worked well for the film. However, in other markets the film faced stiff competition from the Hindi dubbed version of “Pushpa”. The opening day of ’83’ also caused issues with mass pockets recording low collection. However, ’83’ was doing well in Delhi, but there will be no more nightly shows due to curfew restrictions.

Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83’ tells the story of the iconic victory of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 World Cup. Speaking of the film, Kabir Khan had said exclusively to ETimes: “You know, 83 is a big responsibility for me. I knew that if I didn’t recreate this correctly, the country wouldn’t forgive me. Ditto for Ranveer: if he doesn’t describe Kapil correctly, the audience won’t forgive him. And as you see in the trailer, he did it brilliantly. He worked very hard. Deepika Padukone, who is co-producing the film, stars as Ranveer’s on-screen woman in this artist. “83” also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree in key roles.
