Ghani Box Office Collection Day 2: Varun Tej’s Film Shows No Growth

Kiran Korrapati’s Director Ghani hit theaters Friday with slow starts, scroll down for Day 2 box office collection, screen count, pre-business collections, break-even and Moreover.

The Varun Tej star doesn’t seem to be getting the kind of response expected from the film, the long-awaited film after being pushed back several times, finally released on February 8, 2022.

The film graced cinemas at a time when the big ticket RRR was already roaring at the box office, it ran into the latter on an opening day and managed to rack up 535 theaters against the RRR which has 680 screens during of its third week.

Box office collection

Talking about the reviews, the critics slammed the movie bashing the bad writing, story and narration, the audience also doesn’t seem interesting in the movie, the movie reportedly collected only around Rs 2.72 shares Cr at a worldwide opening day.

It seems that the RRR storm and the negative reviews have badly affected the film’s business, it is also not receiving the positive WOM. Reports suggest that Ghani failed to attract footsteps to cinemas, he only racked up Rs 72 Lakhs on the second day on Saturday.

The report also states that the sports drama will see a bigger drop in collections on Sunday Day 3, so it can be interpreted that Varun Tej’s latest outing will not rack up double digits on opening weekend. .

Business and break-even point

However, the sports drama has already made the business of Rs 25.30 Cr against the breakeven point of Rs 26.30 Cr, with most coming from Andhra Pradesh Rs 9.50 Cr.

The film needs a strong word of mouth that climbs at least on the opening weekend to over Rs 10 Cr net, let’s see how well the film shoots on the last day of the opening weekend.

Rajamouli’s RRR seems to be stopping Ghani’s business, RRR is still the top priority for exhibitors as the sports drama fails to attract moviegoers to theaters which has resulted in fewer shows for Ghani.

Creators

Ghani is directed and written by Kiran Korrapati, and produced by Sidhu Mudda with Allu Bobby under the Renaissance Pictures banner and
Allu Bobby Company, On the technical side, George C. Williams, launched the camera, Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor and the music is given by S. Thaman.

The sports drama doesn’t seem to be making it big, if BOC is concerned, the film needs more than 20 Cr shares to break even, which seems impossible now.
