HIT – The First Case by Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra failed to impress audiences despite good reviews. The film had started to pick up speed after a low start, but it continues to score low now. While HIT failed to make its mark on its opening day, on Day 6 its numbers dipped even lower. In fact, it also struggles to cross the mere Rs 10 crore mark. The movie is the Hindi remake of the Telugu crime drama HIT. It tells the story of a cop who is on the trail of a missing woman. Sanya Malhotra plays the female lead role in the film. HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team. The film was released on July 15.

According to early estimates, on Day 6, July 20, Hit: The First Case failed to earn significantly more than the previous day’s numbers. If the numbers are to be believed, the movie has grossed a total of just Rs 7.34 crore which is way less. HIT had earned Rs 1.35 crore on Day 1. Hit: The First Case performed better than Taapsee Pannu star Shabaash Mithu who failed to do good business on its opening day. Meanwhile, HIT had an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.85% on Tuesday, July 19.

The Telugu movie HIT starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. The movie Sud will soon have a second part as well. The story follows a cop who searches for a missing woman. The Hindi version is funded by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore of T-Series. This is the first time that Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra have come together in a film. In the film, Rajkummar Rao plays the role of a policeman who suffers from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). The actor received a lot of praise for his performance.
