Kamal Haasan’s star breaks Rs 150 crore worldwide

Kamal Haasan star “Vikram” has been buzzing the internet for over a month, and the action drama was released on Friday, June 3. Opened to positive reviews, “Vikram” has transformed to garner massive fan attention, with most shows selling out over the past three days. Now the latest update from day 3 of “Vikram” box office collection is that Kamal Haasan’s starring action thriller surpassed Rs 150 crore worldwide “Vikram” released on 900 screens in Tamil Nadu , while it has put more than 2500 screens in the world.

The multilingual release reportedly grossed over 60 crore in Tamil Nadu and 10 crore each in Kerala and Karnataka to become the highest grossing Tamil film of 2022 in both states. When we look at overseas collections, the film earned over Rs 12 crores in the US and Rs 13+ crores in the UAE and GCC to become the highest grossing Tamil film of all time in the region. The global collection of ‘Vikram’ exceeded Rs 150 crore, while the domestic collection of the film itself reached Rs 100 crore.

“Vikram” is on its way to becoming Kamal Haasan’s highest-grossing film and the highest-grossing Kollywood film in a certain region, as weekday tickets are also filling up fast. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action drama also has Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram and Chemban Vinod in pivotal roles with Suriya appearing in a special performance. Anirudh Ravichander’s music also benefited the film.
