It’s time to bow down and swear loyalty to drag queens Kim Chi and Trixie Mattel. In their infinite wisdom and magnanimity, the duo saw fit to drop a makeup collaboration on Thursday, July 28, and it’s sickening, darlings. The Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EVR collection features six new products, including some innovations I’ve never seen before in over eight years in the beauty industry. Kim Chi and Trixie Mattel both have their own beauty brands and have been in the makeup game as performers and contestants on RuPaul’s Drag Race, so I expected the BFF4EVR collection to be good, but these two queens delivered something *beyond* that. The price is quite reasonable, the quality is excellent and the atmosphere, impeccable.
The Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EV collection has been in the works for over a year and a half, although the queens in question have been friends for over a decade. “Kim and I started talking about the possibility of starting this project at least a year and a half ago,” Trixie shares with Elite Daily. Together they created a collection of products that they themselves would want to wear. There’s glitz and glamour, but also neutral shades for off-stage everyday life. According to Trixie, coming up with a range was an important part of the process. “I don’t wear sparkles every day,” she says. “I feel like when people think of Trixie they think of neons, but I wear a lot of neutrals and just go up to 11, you know?”
It’s true that everything in the Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EVR collection, from her glitter domed eyeshadow palette to her super saturated blusher duo, actually went up to 11. Here are all the details:
What is the Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EVR collection?
The Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EVR collection covers almost all of your makeup bases. In terms of colors, you have the MVPalette, an eyeshadow palette with 20 shades of neutral matte, neutral shimmer, shimmer, colored shimmer, and colored matte finishes. Glitter is my favorite because I’m unapologetically dramatic and it’s a mess-free way to create drama. Unlike other sequins that have a lot of fallout, these stay put. “You can literally take your finger and apply glitter right where you want,” says Kim Chi.
Then you have blush and highlighter. You can tell Kim Chi and Trixie are blush fans by the beauty of the two shades of BRBlush, a finely ground, silky smooth blush duo, a fact they both confirm to Elite Daily. “There was a time when drag queens didn’t wear blush and it was a really dark time,” says Trixie. “For me, Blush is a desert island product. I just think it’s very essential.
“There’s so much you can do with blush,” says Kim Chi, who would prefer blush to highlighter every day. “Honestly, if I never had to wear hair again, it would be fine,” she says. That said, WTHighlight, the highlighter duo in the BFF4EVR collection, is really good. Both shades offer more shine than shine, so you’ll look shimmery rather than greasy when wearing them.
Of course, the collection also includes lipsticks. LOLips, the semi-matte lipsticks, and TTYLips, the matte liquid lipsticks, both come in four shades and feature innovation I’ve never seen before. Each has a flip-up mirror on the side of the tube, so you don’t have to run into a bathroom or clumsily use your phone’s camera to apply or adjust your lipstick. “I think it’s something no one has seen before,” Kim Chi says. As someone who has visited beauty block more than once, I definitely agree.
Rounding out the collection is the Pink Girl Fan, a beautiful folding fan that’s perfect for cooling off by pouring hot tea or stirring up a gentle breeze to chase away enemies.

How much does the Kim Chi x Trixie Mattel BFF4EVR collection cost?
The MVPalette is the most expensive item in the collection with a price tag of $45. The BRBlush and WTHighlight both cost $16. The LOLips and TTYLips are $15 each and the Pink Girl Fan will set you back $20. Although the prices are higher than what you would pay for makeup at the drugstore, they are also not outrageous considering the quality of the products, something else RuPaul Drag Race alum previously pointed out.
DeJa Skye immediately named Kim Chi Chic Beauty as one of her favorite beauty brands, saying “she has a massive product line, she’s a drag performer in the industry, she’s an amazing makeup artist, and the price is so low for amazing products.
