Rajkummar Rao’s film sees steady growth

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar star in highly anticipated comedy-drama, Badhaai Do hit theaters on Friday, February 11. On top of that, business analyst Taran Adarsh ​​suggests Valentine’s Day could boost the film’s earnings.

‘Badhaai Do’ Day 3 Box Office Collections

According to Taran Adarsh, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar banged around Rs 3.45 crore on day 3. As mentioned earlier, on its opening day, the movie failed to raise any significant sum. It grossed Rs 1.50 crore and the bulk of the collections came from multiplexes in the Mumbai, Delhi-NCR area. Meanwhile, the numbers increased on day 2, as the film collected Rs 2.50 crore. In totality, Badhaai Do raised Rs 7.82 crore in the first three days. Although the performance of the film is not up to par, Badhaai Do has experienced steady growth. Even the special occasion of Valentine’s Day could prove beneficial for the film’s box office growth.

While talking about the film’s daily growth, Taran Adarsh ​​posted on Koo, “#BadhaaiDo daily growth. Speaking of the film, directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, Badhaai do serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film, Badhaai Do. The previous film featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra trying out key roles. Now this new version has introduced a whole new plot with different characters from the old one. Actor Rajkummar Rao tries out for the role of a cop, while Bhumi Pednekar appears as a physiotherapy teacher in the film. The problem ensues when the two main protagonists, instead of declaring themselves gay and lesbian, decide to marry to appease their parents. Financed under the banner of Junglee Pictures, Badhaai Do takes the audience on a roller coaster of laughter.
