‘RRR’ had the lowest occupancy rate in Punjab and NCR, but it is still better than ‘Sooryavanshi’. Mass circuit growth on Saturday is a good sign and a huge jump is to be expected on Sunday. The movie might even register the highest post-pandemic one-day collections by beating “Sooryavanshi” and “The Kashmir Files.” If the film manages to cross the Rs 30 crore nett mark on Sunday, it will be a first for any post-pandemic film.
‘RRR’ had overall performed exceptionally well on its opening day, earning around Rs 223 crore gross worldwide. Among the Hindi film circuits, the film also introduced the Bihar circuit which was lagging earlier.
“RRR” tells a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries who fought against the British and the Nizam of Hyderabad. It features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. The film was released in Telugu with Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions. Speaking about Ram Charan’s action-packed intro scene in the film, Rajamouli had told IANS, “Ram Charan’s intro was one of the scariest shots in ‘RRR’. There are up to 1,000 people marching towards Ram Charan, ready to attack him. This shot was so high voltage, just to imagine. That adrenaline rush when 1,000 people gang up on one guy is felt with such great effort. I was scared during filming because Ram Charan was not visible in the dust and among 1,000 people. But, thank God, he finished the shot unscathed.
