“Rubu ‘Qarn” launches theater and performing arts project

Sharjah 24: The Rubu ‘Qarn Foundation for Building Future Leaders and Innovators held a virtual event titled “The Rubu’ Qarn Project Open Day for Theater and Performing Arts” coinciding with Arab Theater Day.
The event aimed to unify the efforts of affiliated institutions: Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah and Sharjah for Capability Development, with the aim of preparing a database of professionals in the fields of theater and performing arts. scene; set up working groups in training centers; in addition to strengthening future partnerships by introducing and developing various training programs and innovative activities that contribute to the development of talents and capacities of children, adolescents and young people, in the presence of affiliates, parents and a number of audiences interested in theater and performing arts.

The program “The Rubu ‘Qarn Project Open Day for Theater and Performing Arts” included a film about the pilot phase of the project, implemented with the four institutions, during the fourth quarter of 2021, and the announcement a set of programs and competitions adapted to target groups from 6 to 31 years old during the current year 2022.

“The open day of the Rubu ‘Qarn project for theater and performing arts” saw the announcement of the winning texts of the writing competition for the Youth Theater 2021.

In this regard, Mr. Khalid Al Nakhi, Acting Director of Sharjah for Capacity Development, said that this is the first path of integration that brings together the four institutions, and I hope it will be a successful path having a positive impact on the Rubu ‘Qarn Foundation for the creation of future leaders and innovators.

Ms. Aisha Ali Al Kaabi, Acting Director of Sharjah Children, commented on the day saying that the event is an opportunity to hear the opinions of a group of theater experts and theater specialists on the programs presented, and learn more about the details. artistic projects and initiatives for the year 2022, which will lead to integration with the institutions that come under the Rubu ‘Qarn Foundation to work together under one roof.

It should be noted that the Rubu ‘Qarn Foundation for the Creation of Future Leaders and Innovators, launched in September 2016 under the generous guidance of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Rubu ‘The Qarn Foundation for the Creation of Future Leaders and Innovators is the first Emirati, Arab and regional institution that aims to build an Emirati generation capable of leading and influencing the future, while being committed to its national identity.
