Nationally Award-Winning Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotrithe direction of The Kashmir Files has broken multiple records since its March 11 release. The film, which garnered decent numbers on its first day of release, had the cash registers ringing, thanks to strong word of mouth. In India, The Kashmir Files managed to hit Rs 190.10 crore in 12 days. While it has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark with its global collection, the film is poised to achieve the same with its domestic business.

From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to superstar Aamir Khan, several famous personalities have praised the film. And the amazing responses from audiences are one of the main reasons the film continued its winning streak. Hitting moolah at the box office, Kashmir Files became one of the most successful films after the COVID-19 pandemic. And now it is approaching the Rs 200 crore mark.

Sharing the latest box office numbers on Twitter on Wednesday, film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh ​​tweeted, “#TheKashmirFiles continues to hold its own, works triumphantly on weekdays…Trending strong on weekdays… Will cross ₹200 cr tomorrow [Thu; Day 14]… [Week 2] Fri 19.15 cr, Sat 24.80 cr, Sun 26.20 cr, Mon 12.40 cr, Tue 10.25 cr. Total: ₹190.10 cr. #Indiabusiness.”

The Kashmir Filesbased on the pundit exodus from Kashmir in 1990, presents Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumaar in key roles. The film shattered records and set new benchmarks with its success.

Whether it’s breaking the Rs 150 crore mark in the second week or breaking previous film records, the hard-hitting film is simply unstoppable at the box office. After leaving behind Alia Bhatthe big budget movie Gangubai Kathiawai, the film gave stiff competition to Akshay Kumarit’s Bachchan Panandey. Despite its expensive promotional campaign, the comedy-drama still only earned Rs 44.75 crore.
