Woman says her collection of ‘haunted’ dolls is scaring her neighbors

Thanks to movies like Conspiracy deductible and chucky, haunted dolls are no longer just the domain of paranormal investigators and toy collectors. Haunted dolls are in the wild (literally), snuggling up to toddlers and appearing in museums all over the world.

Even Stormy Daniels has a haunted doll named “Susan,” which received honorable mention during her former lawyer Michael Avenatti’s trial for wire fraud and identity theft in January.

But a woman says her haunted doll drama is scaring her neighbors. User soulmori began sharing his supernatural encounters with followers in April 2021, starting with a ghost named “Gilbert” who haunts his family home. Over time, her fascination with the paranormal led her to collect haunted dolls, which now share her apartment.

In a post shared on Monday, April 25 (which can be viewed here), soulmori responded to comments from followers about his neighbors’ reaction to his otherworldly housemates.

In the video, which received 21,000 likes and 260 comments in just 24 hours, she said: “I guess it’s about paranormal activity happening in my very haunted apartment.

“Now I am aware that I made the apartment haunted by collecting all these haunted objects.

“And yes, the neighbors have recognized the paranormal activity radiating from my apartment.”

She explained that soon after she started collecting the haunted dolls, neighbors started leaving the building.

“A couple of people have mentioned ‘Hey, did you experience anything weird here?’

“I do everything I can to contain him in my apartment. level of control I have over spirits and what they choose to do.”

Currently there are several empty apartments in the soulmori block, with most spaces directly around his apartment. Although his hair-raising housemates are losing tenants to them, the landlord doesn’t seem to have a problem with Soulmori’s collection of haunted dolls.

She continued: “They said ‘well, that’s your choice’ and I can’t confirm that all of these vacant apartments are due to paranormal activity.”

In the long term, soulmori hopes to get a home so no one else is “preyed upon or bothered” by the haunted dolls or the spirits that possess them.

She concluded her post with, “Sorry if I made you move. My bad.”

The first haunted doll in soulmori’s collection was Gilbert – which she discovered along with a Ouija board and a spooky mural – in her family home.

The second doll to join the collection was “Gloria”, a clown puppet soulmori found in the crawl space of the house. Next are “Cecila” and “Cynthia”, in front of a Raggedy Ann doll that soulmori describes as “cursed”. She also has many spookier but non-haunted specimens that share a library in soulmori’s house.

Soulmori claims the dolls move and talk to him, making disturbing statements such as “I knew I was going to die” and “I never knew peace”.

Of 1,067 people surveyed by Realtor.com, 40% suspect their home is haunted. A third of those polled said they would consider buying a spooky property if it was cheaper, but 49% said they would not live with a ghost under any circumstances.

Other TikTok users shared their own stories of supernatural encounters, with Jade commenting, “My ex used to attract spirits. He used to live in a house where he felt constantly harassed by a spirit. He didn’t however, hardly ever spoke.”

Bananafunnyface said: “I have a great old tattered Anne doll who was my mother and who was my ancestors….

“My mom keeps telling me never to get rid of it. I’ll tell my grandma about it, but I don’t know.”

Anne :)) wrote: “My porcelain musical bunny started playing music on its own after always watching your videos next door.”

Newsweek has contacted soulmori for comment.
